Colloid

shaleA colloid is a mixture in which particles are suspended in a liquid or a gas. Colloidal minerals come from humic shale deposits, primarily from Emery County, Utah. The shale is collected, crushed, and placed in water so the minerals can be suspended in the solution. Colloidal mineral distributors stress the naturalness of their products and make claims about improving conditions associated with various diseases, a practice judged to be illegal by the FDA. In addition, some advertisements state that colloidal supplements contain 75 minerals, many of which have not been proven to be beneficial to health (such as platinum, gold, and silver). So many of these products are composed of a variety of whatever minerals are in the shale.

Ionic

Woman Drinking Glass of WaterIonic mineral distributors say that colloidal minerals have too large a particle size to be absorbed by the body. Therefore, ionic minerals were created to have the correct electrical charge, which makes them bond to water, and therefore leads to higher levels of absorption by the body. Because these mineral solutions may actually lead to greater absorption, it is important to remember that there are various other conditions that must be present in the body in order for this to happen. The process is quite complex because the minerals can interact with one another in the body.

Our process of spectrographic hair analysis, able to sense parts per million, and in some cases parts per billion, provides a detailed report of your mineral balance. And from that report we can recommend specific mineral solutions and amounts in order to correct the balance. We also retest regularly because the balance is dynamic.
